High Desert Shorts International
Friday, I was invited to the 2nd annual High Desert Shorts International Film Festival as a guest. It’s a small festival in Pahrump, Nevada, but the organizers are super-nice. I sat on a Q&A panel with my wife, Anita, who was a co-founder of the Dam Short Film Festival. Also present was Dee Wallace, a busy actress who has worked on “E.T.,” “The Howling,” the original “Stepford Wives,” the new “Halloween,” among numerous other features and TV shows. She was joined by Dana Mennie, a Nevada writer and director, Julie Snider, Producer, and the up-and-coming actor Chris DiVecchio. Dee, Dana, Julie, and Chris plan to shoot an independent feature in Pahrump sometime soon. We wish them luck!
